ROXAS City – Three illegal drug suspects were arrested in a sting operation on Bayot Drive in Barangay 9.
Police caught Raymund Javato and Michael Abaracoso repacking suspected shabu in the house of Jane Berdugo.
Their alleged leader, Kenneth Tandoy, was arrested, too.
“They tried to escape, but the police were surrounding them,” a witness who refused to be named said.
Tandoy yielded six sachets of suspected shabu, three improvised glass tooters, a Smith and Wesson .357 revolver, and drug paraphernalia.
Seized from Abaracoso were five sachets of suspected shabu, a cell phone, an improvised tooter, a lighter, and rolled aluminum foil.
Five sachets of suspected shabu, an improvised glass tooter and two aluminum foil pieces were recovered from Javato.
All the seized suspected shabu cost an estimated P20,000.
Operatives from the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group teams Bravo and Echo, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Capiz, and the Provincial Public Safety Company staged the operation around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
All three suspects were detained at the Roxas City police station lockup cell./PN
