CDSA 3 dominates ISSC gymnastics, football

THE 3rd Congressional District Sports Association (CDSA 3) ruled the elementary and secondary gymnastics in the 2017 Iloilo Schools Sports Council (ISSC) Meet at the Pavia National High School in Pavia, Iloilo on Saturday.

CDSA 3, represented by Cabatuan, also took the secondary boys’ football title after escaping ILOPRISAA, represented by Central Philippine University, 1-0.

Shane Mae Randera won the most gold medals for CDSA 3 with five in women’s artistic gymnastics – elementary cluster 2 floor exercise, vault, balance beam, single bar, and individual all-around events.

Zyrel Joy Marte had four golds in women’s artistic gymnastics – elementary cluster 1 floor exercise, balance beam, single bar, and individual all-around, and a bronze in vault.

Denzel Trozon also had three gold medals in the elementary cluster. Rick Mark Consumo and Alexander Moronio had two golds each while Lincel Ann Sta. Ana had one.

In the secondary event, Walter Petipet had three gold medals in men’s artistic gymnastics – cluster 3 floor exercise, vault and individual all-around, and a bronze medal in mushroom.

Meanwhile ILOPRISAA (CPU), captured the secondary boys’ and girls’ volleyball titles by beating CDSA 4 (Dumangas) and CDSA 2, respectively./PN
