Ceneco power rate down anew

BACOLOD City – There would a decrease of P0.3685 per kilowatt hour (kWh) in the power rate of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) for this month’s billing due to the reduction in generation, transmission, system loss charges and other pass-through charges.

“The billing month of April 2021 is P11.1353 per kWh compared to last month’s P11.5038 per kWh,” according to Ceneco acting general manager Danny Pondevilla.

In monitoring the monthly electricity usage particularly during the dry season, consumers are advised to look at their kWh consumption and not the amount, Pondevilla said.

The amount may also vary depending on the pass-through charges.

Pondevilla reminded electricity consumers to conserve energy.

In another development, Ceneco set guidelines for those applying for electric service connection.

To ensure strict physical distancing and to avoid long queues, applicants for electric service connection at its main office here may opt to proceed with:

* Step 1: Set an appointment. Walk-in applicants shall fill up an inquiry slip provided at Ceneco- Bacolod main office. The applicant will be asked to leave a contact number for confirmation of appointment schedule and other electric application concerns.

They can also apply for an appointment online (CENECO Service Application or CENECO Service Application on Facebook).

“Our member-consumer service coordinators are open to cater your concerns from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday,” Pondevilla said.

Applicants may also schedule an appointment via this Service Application Hotline number: 458-6777 local 1222.

* Step 2: Wait for the confirmation or update on your application status.

“Our Service Application Unit will directly contact the applicant for updates regarding their appointment, requirements or other submissions,” he added.

* Step 3: Contact the service application coordinators for further instructions through 458-6777 local 1222 or Ceneco Service Application Facebook Pages.

Do not transact with fixers, Pondevilla stressed./PN
