BACOLOD City – The city government will be releasing its employees another cash incentive this month.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued a memorandum granting all regular, co-terminus and casual plantilla workers their productivity enhancement incentive amounting to P5,000.
The memorandum is pursuant to Budget Circular No, 2017-4 dated Dec.4 of the Department of Budget and Management.
The circular prescribes the rules and regulations under Executive Order (EO) 201 series of 2016, which “modifies the salary schedule for civilian government personnel and authorizes the grant of additional benefits for both civilian and military and uniformed personnel.”
The EO was approved on Feb. 19, 2016.
Section 6 of EO states that, “beginning fiscal year 2016, the productivity enhancement incentive shall be given not earlier than Dec. 15 of every year to all qualified government employess.”
It will be “for the purpose of improving the government employees’ productivity,” it further stated.
Those who were hired without employee-employer relationships and funded from the non-personnel services appropriations will not receive the cash incentive./PN
