ILOILO – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) thanked Iloilo City’s Mayor Jerry Treñas for opening the city’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination to residents here.
The provincial board expressed their appreciation through a resolution sponsored by 5th District’s Board Member Carol-V Espinosa-Diaz.
Many benefitted when the city opened its border for non-residents who wanted to avail themselves of the free anti-coronavirus jabs, the SP said.
The legislators commended the city mayor for showing “true spirit of bayanihan and selfless leadership” amid the pandemic and “unconditional support” to the people even if they are from outside his area of jurisdiction.
The resolution was co-sponsored by 4th District’s Senior Board Member Rolando Distura, Ex-Officio Board Member and Liga ng Barangay Provincial Federation president Dorothy Paes and 3rd District’s Board Member Jason Gonzales./PN
