ILOILO City – A non-uniformed personnel of Police Station 1 filed an administrative complaint against her station commander, Chief Inspector Aldrin Lamera.

May Flor Fernandez accused Lamera before the National Police Commissioned (Napolcom) of grave misconduct, conduct unbecoming of a police officer, and oppression.

In her complaint filed on Feb. 9, Fernandez claimed Lamera destroyed or damaged government property in Police Station 1 and used excessive authority in violation of Rule 21 of Napolcom Memorandum Circular 2016-002.

If Fernandez were to be believed, Lamera got mad when she failed to attend a meeting.

According to Napolcom Region 6 information officer Allen Camering, 32 police personnel of Police Station 1 also submitted a petition seeking Lemera’s relief.

“We will summon the respondent to answer the accusation,” said Camering.

In their petition, the 32 police personnel claimed that under Lamera, the atmosphere at Police Station 1 was no longer conducive for working harmoniously.

They claimed Lamera often shouted at them and talked offensively, embarrassing them during conferences.

Lamera denied the accusations but admitted scolding his men at one point because they reported to work late and were often tinkering with their phones either playing games or checking their Facebook accounts./PN
