ILOILO City – “Come over here, I’m going to kill you.”
This was what a 26-year-old drunken man told a resident of Barangay Alalasan, Lapuz district after the latter scolded him, a police report showed.
Edgar Seballos, 48, reported to the police that his exchange with Andrew Guarin at around 9 p.m. on April 7 caused him to “suffer [from] anxiety and nervousness.”
Guarin, a resident of the same village, was holding a knife behind his back while intoxicated, Seballos told the police.
When Seballos scolded him, Guarin challenged him to a fight and yelled, “Lakat bala di kay patyon ta ka (Come over here, I’m going to kill you),” the complainant said.
Police referred the dispute to the barangay lupon./PN
