ILOILO City – A construction worker was caught selling suspected shabu yesterday morning in Barangay Airport, Mandurriao district.
The subject of the operation was identified as Edwin Oribe, 23, a resident of the said barangay.
Police Station 5’s Drug Enforcement Team found Oribe in possession of more or less 10 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of P68,000.
According to Police Captain Val Cambel, chief of Police Station 5, Oribe’s activities had been under surveillance for some time, but his transactions had been sporadic.
Cambel further stated that Oribe would source his supply from a barangay in Jaro district and repackage it before selling it to his fellow construction workers.
Oribe is currently detained at the Mandurriao police station’s custodial facility./PN
