ILOILO City – A construction worker sleeping in a bunkhouse in Barangay Tacas, Jaro district woke up to searing pain on his back at around 3:30 a.m. on Monday.
John Cabardo, 40, of Barangay Particion, Guimbal, Iloilo discovered that he was stabbed on the back, a police report showed.
He sought assistance from his coworkers who in turn informed Barangay Captain Joseph Poral.
Poral and tanod commander Harry Mirasol rushed Cabardo to the West Visayas State University Medical Center.
Police have yet to identify who may have attacked Cabardo in his sleep. (Carolyn Jane Abello, trainee reporter/PN)
