BACOLOD City – The policeman named in a piece of paper found together with a severed hand recovered in Purok Riverside, Barangay Bata here has been reassigned.

The note on the piece of paper reads: “ANTHONY ‘TATA’ VISTAR, PUSHER, PROTECTOR, KAWATAN, PANG HULDAP IMO UBRA, BULANG PA MORE AH!”.

Police Staff Sergeant Anthony Vistar has been transferred to the Bacolod City Police Office headquarters and was allowed to temporarily go on leave.

Vistar was previously assigned at the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Police Station 5.

Police Station 5 chief Captain Francis Depasucat said they are now conducting a parallel investigation.

“Nakibot ako kag natingala… basi isa ini ka destsabilisasyon sang mga grupo nga nagakadalasa ilabi na sa aton kampanya bsatok ilegal nga droga,” said Depasucat in an interview with Radyo Bandera-Negros.

Depasucat stressed that as a matter of policy, they do not tolerate cops involved in illegal activities.

He already talked with Vistar, who denied the allegations.

Depasucat also noted that Vistar never had any background or involvement in illegal activities in the latter’s 10 years of service.

Meanwhile, the police are still trying to determine who owned the severed hand.

This is the third case of mysterious mutilation in this city this year.

Last month, a pair of severed human feet was dumped in front of a gasoline station along C.L. Montelibano in Barangay Villamonte.

On January, a pair of severed hands was found inside a plastic container with ingredients for a beef stew in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2. It had a piece of paper containing the names of alleged drug suspects./PN
