ILOILO – The Dumangas Municipal Police Station successfully seized P680,000 worth of shabu in Sitio Naluoyan, Barangay Sapao, Dumangas, at 8:35 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Police Major Albert Kenn Lepsia, head of Dumangas police, said the buy-bust led to the arrest of “Tads,” of Barangay San Antonio, Ajuy, and his alleged cohort “Ann,” of Barangay Tumcon, Pototan.
Tads was a high-value target, Lepsia added.
The suspects sold a sachet of the illegal substance to a police poseur in exchange for P16,500.
A total of 10 packages weighing more or less 100 grams were recovered.
All the apprehended suspects will be facing charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
