BACOLOD City – Two Negrenses have recently topped the 2023 Electronics licensure examinations held earlier this month.
John March Urbano Celeste of the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, got the No. 2 spot with a 94 percent rating for the Electronics Technicians (ECT) Licensure Examinations.
In a Facebook post, Celeste thanked those who helped him in his academic journey.
“With this success, my heart is full and grateful. Let me say my heartfelt thanks to all who played a part in this achievement. This success is the product of many highs and lows. Let us keep growing after this first step,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, John Marc Torred of the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City got the No. 5 spot for the Electronics Engineers (ECE) Licensure Examination with an 86.90 percent rating.
According to the Professional Regulations Commission, 1,366 of the 1,858 examinees passed the ECT exams, while only 842, or 33.36 percent, of the 2,524 examinees of the ECE passed. (Watchmen Daily Journal)
