BY JEN BAYLON

ILOILO – Police were looking into multiple “persons of interest” in the theft incident at the Valerio National High School in the 5th district town of Batad.

Police Captain Jaypee Silvestre, acting chief of Batad Municipal Police Station, noted the possibility of an “inside job.”

Silvestre said construction workers were in the area, while bookkeeper Rodmar Blancaflor had access to the school’s accounting office.

At around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, Blancaflor discovered the office open and the safety box containing P138,000 missing.

The police chief added that they are still exploring all potential angles. (With details from Radyo Bandera Iloilo)/PN
