‘Cracker-related injuries in Capiz down by 40%

ROXAS City – Firecracker-related injuries during holidays in Capiz province were down by 40 percent, data from the Provincial Health Office showed.

Only 15 cases were recorded from Dec. 21, 2020 to Jan.5, 2021. This was 10 cases less than the 25 injured cases recorded in the December 2019 to January 2020 holiday season.

Thirteen of the injured cases were males.

Data also showed that majority of the cases were eye injuries and skin burns.

By area, the victims were from Roxas City (three), Jamindan (two), Pontevedra (two), Sigma (two), Dumalag (one), Dumarao (one), Ivisan (one), Mambusao (one), Panay (one), and President Roxas (one)./PN
