ILOILO City – A resident of Barangay Ingore, La Paz district was hospitalized after a mentally ill woman allegedly hurt him, a police report showed.
La Paz police learned about the case of Arnel Sibag Garciano from the security guard of the West Visayas State University Medical Center (WVSUMC) in Jaro who called their station at around 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
Garciano had a laceration on his hand, the police report stated.
He told the police he was driving a motorcycle bound for Barangay Baldoza, La Paz around 5 p.m. on Tuesday when the mentally ill woman known as “Gladys” hurled a bottle of Red Horse beer at him.
“Gladys” fled to an unknown direction after the incident, police said.
His family brought Garciano to the WVSUMC for the treatment of his wound./PN
