ANTIQUE – A man drowned in Barangay Camancijan, Culasi, Antique.
Gerald Filasol, 26, was at a spring resort with his family and friends, celebrating New Year.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and the Bureau of Fire Protection in Culasi town responded to the incident.
Culasi MDRRMO added that bystanders even performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Filasol.
“The team assessed, checked vital signs and monitored the patient. No pulse, no breathing. The team continuously conducted CPR while [Filasol was being] transported through [an] MDRRMO ambulance to the nearest hospital for further medical care,” according to MDRRMO Culasi.
Filasol was declared dead upon arrival at the Culasi District Hospital./PN
