ILOILO – A bicycle-riding lad died in a road mishap in Barangay Palaca, Miag-ao on Saturday.
Chester Miagar, 19, of the town’s Barangay Damilisan succumbed to head and body injuries.
Miagar was tailgating a tricycle driven by 48-year-old Alvin Palcon of Barangay Oyungan, Miag-ao around 10 a.m.
When Palcon suddenly stopped, Miagar crashed against the portion of the tricycle then fell down.
The victim’s head was hit by a truck running the opposite direction, police added.
Drivers Gerold Lauderez of Barangay San Jose, San Miguel (truck) and Palcon were detained at the Miag-ao police station.
Charges for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide would be filed against them./PN
