THE Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office 6 participated in the Statistical Bulletin Board Exhibit in line with the 27th National Statistics Month celebrations on Oct. 21 at the DA 6 Admin Building.
The judges during for the exhibit included Ms. Luchi Contreras, Ms. Maritess Bolinas, Ms. Jen Banares, Mr.Greg Ticao and Ms. Roselie Salcedo.
Rice, Corn, High Value Crops Development, Livestock, and Organic Agriculture Programs were among the five banner programs of the DA that were displayed in the statistical data and analysis exhibits.
James Earl E. Ogatis, Public Relations Officer II, explained that the Department’s exhibit also highlighted the #BROWN4good challenge, a social media advocacy campaign that seeks to promote the consumption of brown rice in both urban and rural communities.
Meanwhile, the DA 6 Admin and Finance Division chief Ms. Zarlina Baterbonia Cuello welcomed and invited the Board of Judges to join the unity lunch (boodlefight) where brown rice was served instead of white. She also cited that brown rice consumption will help attain the country’s goal of rice self-sufficiency.
