DAKASI reopened its Iloilo Ayala Technohub branch in late December 2017, just in time to ring in the New Year with its new and cozy look – perfectly complementing the quality taste of Taiwan the shop has delivered since its inception.

Branch manager Illyn Francisco shares that they are excited to reacquaint Ilonggos with their classic milk teas, all the while introducing new delectable menu items for 2018: the Yakult Mango Tea and Crème Mango drinks, the perfect pair for other fresh additions, Cheesy Beef Quesadilla and Pure Chocolate Brownies.

Dakasi Technohub’s revamped interiors feature a more homey yet modern vibe with its comfy seats, intimate booths, and its amenable arrangement – conducive for both barkada hangouts and late night cramming sessions for students, as well as more welcoming for families seeking some bonding time and young professionals looking for a place to unwind.

The Technohub branch closed for renovations from Nov. 16 to the third week of December in 2017, piquing the craving of Ilonggos for Dakasi’s unmatched milk tea recipes even more.

Among those who missed their favorite Dakasi afternoon pick-me-up are Eillen Mae Palmejar and Yenna Mae Jainga, best friends and both students from the University of San Agustin in Iloilo. The two pals share that they frequent Dakasi almost every week – during their vacant hours, weekends, or after class before they head home – their favorite order being the Roasted Okinawa Milk Tea.

Now that Dakasi has relaunched its Iloilo Ayala Technohub branch with more welcoming interiors the duo hope to visit their favorite milk tea shop even more frequently.

Raoul Manuel, a student pursuing his postgraduate studies in Manila, was similarly pleasantly surprised to be welcomed by a revamped Dakasi branch upon his return to his hometown of Iloilo City for the holidays. He shares that it has become a sort of tradition hanging out and catching up with his friends at Dakasi’s Technohub store every time he comes home. With the new more vibrant ambiance of the branch, he sees forming even more bonding memories with his close friends there.

Meanwhile for Rey Arguelles – a call center agent at the nearby BPO company – a daily trip to Dakasi is nothing short of a necessity. He relates that most of the time he needs a little caffeine boost to get him through his long shift and Dakasi’s Taro Milk Tea is the perfect drink to perk up his senses. More often than not, his day is not complete without his dose of Dakasi, and with the branch’s more cozy atmosphere he feels even more at home and welcome.

Dakasi, founded in 1990 in Ximending, Taiwan, has over 400 stores in China alone, and is rapidly growing in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Each one of their locations is guaranteed to deliver the same high quality taste and freshness in every cup.

Dakasi Philippines aims to develop a nationwide chain of gourmet drinks. Milk teas and bubble teas have long been part of the Asian diet, but not for the Filipinos. With their fresh, unique, and convenient drinks, Dakasi wants to make milk teas an indispensable part of the daily lives of Filipinos.

Dakasi is open from 12 noon to 11 p.m. daily, with two branches in Iloilo City: the Iloilo Ayala Technohub branch inside the Smallville complex and an Iznart Branch in downtown Iloilo City Proper./PN
