BACOLOD City – Two people were found dead in Sagay City and Ilog town in Negros Occidental.
His aunt found Raffy Baloya, 35, of Barangay Plaridel, Sagay City lifeless on a bamboo chair around 5 p.m. on May 27, city police led by Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto said.
More than 12 hours earlier, an unidentified dead body was found in Barangay Galicia, Ilog. It had stab wounds on the right chest and neck.
Baloya was believed to have had a cardiac arrest. His aunt, 74-year-old Luzviminda Baloya-Bobole, told the police her nephew drank liquor at a store near their house, and then went home and sat on the chair before he died.
The unidentified man, on the other hand, was wearing a yellow shirt and around 5 feet, 2 inches tall. His age was around 20 to 28 years old, police said.
A Galicia barangay official called the police to report the discovery of the body at a newly planted sugarcane field. A kitchen knife and P330 cash were recovered from the body./PN
