ILOILO City – An unidentified man was found dead at the Jalaur River in Barangay Tabugon, Dingle, Iloilo yesterday.
Police have yet to identify the man.
The body was taken to a funeral home in the nearby municipality of Pototan but no one has claimed it as of this writing.
A police report described the man as between 5 feet, 2 inches and 5 feet, 4 inches tall and of medium built. He had no clothing except for a black underwear.
A Tabugon villager, 57-year-old Bonifacio Onipa, found the body floating at the river around 7:30 a.m., police said.
Officers were still trying to determine what happened before the man turned up at the river.
They were also looking into what they suspect to be a gunshot wound on the man’s body.
The body was already decomposing./PN
