BACOLOD City-The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) disclosed that the Department of Education (DepEd) has projected to open 70 schools to hold the face-to-face classes in this city, including pre-schools, secondary and tertiary.
This was discussed during a meeting of the Local School Board, according to Doctor Chris Sorongon deputy for medical data analysis and management of the EOC, who was also present.
Sorongon said, during the said meeting he discussed to them the guidelines issued by the EOC for the F2F classes, these are: all students must be fully vaccinated of COVID-19; all teachers and non-teaching personnel are fully vaccinated, and the immediate family members of the students are also fully vaccinated.
These are all of our guidelines because we want to proceed with caution, he stressed.

“Sorongon pointed out, that they are not discriminating but based on the guidelines of the Deped on resumption of the F2F classes should be concurred by the local government unit (LGU).
“As far as the LGU of Bacolod is concerned this will be our guidelines prerequisite in opening a school,” he said.
Sorongon further said that the 70 schools were already lined up and they have their particular dates to apply at Deped Region 6 and the national office for their permission for the F2F classes.
