ROXAS City – A 52-year-old man was found dead in a house in a university compound in Barangay Burias, Mambusao, Capiz.
Robin Lapojapo committed suicide by hanging, police said.
A student of Capiz State University who passed by the house on their way home at around 10 p.m. on Feb. 20 discovered the body hanging from the ceiling with a rope tied around the neck, said the police.
Lapojapo was temporarily residing with relatives inside the university’s compound, the Mambusao said.
Investigators learned that Lapojapo was separated from his wife and the split made him “very depressed.”
Among the items found near the body were a land title, a nylon rope and a chair, police said.
Investigators further learned that Lapojapo also tried to end his life in October last year but failed./PN
