BACOLOD City – A woman lost pieces of jewelry, coins, and two notebooks containing the names of people who owed her debts.
Unidentified robbers barged into the house of the 42-year-old Saraya Olowa Tahir on
Larena Drive, Barangay Taclobo, Dumaguete City, police said.
Tahir told the Dumaguete police she found her jewelry missing when she woke up around 3:30 a.m. on May 18.
The culprits destroyed the screen of a window next to the door and reached the door knob from the outside to gain entry, police said.
Among those she lost were 57 pieces of 10-carat rings; 40 pieces of 10-carat bracelets; 104 necklaces, 10 of which were 10 carats valued at P2,500 each; two bags (a blue Michaela with P500 coins inside and a Secosana); and the notebooks with the names of debtors.
Dumaguete City police officers were still investigating the robbery./PN
