It was in 1995 when Panay News took a leap of faith and became a truly daily newspaper – coming out seven days a week, thereby setting it apart from other papers in the region that merely combined their Saturday and Sunday issues.
Beginning March 2020, however, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) posed logistical challenges to newspapers in the region, including Panay News. The paper has decided to temporarily come out with a combined Saturday-Sunday issue until the pandemic eases.
