AT the outset, Panay News adopted for its emblem the majestic eagle.
Why?
The eagle is known for its strength, courage, sharp vision, determination, and grace – brilliant characteristics associated with leadership.
The soaring eagle – a symbol of power, freedom and transcendence – is inspirational as it is aspirational for the then fledgling Panay News.
Forty years on, we continue to be inspired by our emblem to spread our wings, fly higher, and continually test the limits of press freedom with vigor, just as our visionary founders, with sheer grit, decided to put up a newspaper that would eventually become a leading regional newspaper./PN
