ILOILO City – The 2023 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation election in this city yesterday was overall peaceful, according to the Department of Interior and Local Government-Iloilo City.
Candidates from president to sergeant-at-arms were all unopposed, according to DILG-Iloilo City head Oscar Lim.
“Tanan nga posisyon tig-isa isa lang ang nagpadalagan. Bale ang gin-nominate isa lang. Ginpamangkot man sang election committee kung may mga objection, wala man. Siguro nag-ilistoryahanay man na sila nga amo na i-conduct ang elections. Wala gid ya problema,” he added.
Here is the new set of the SK Federation officials:
* President – Jelma Crystel Implica (Jereos, La Paz)
* Vice President – Julienne Jean Jaquet (Arguelles, Jaro)
* Secretary – Jason Octavio (Hibao-an Norte, Mandurriao)
* Treasurer – Raisen Benedict (Boulevard, Molo)
* Auditor – Yanni Ysabel Panaguiton (Bo. Obrero, Lapuz)
* PRO – John Paul Elmar (Zamora-Milleza, City Proper)
* Sergeant at Arms – Mike Elumbab (Sto. Domingo, Arevalo)
The SK officials immediately took their oath of office yesterday before Mayor Jerry Treñas.
“After na mapilian, ma-proclaim ni election committee, ma-oath sila kay Mayor. After sina si SK Federation president dal-on niya ang oath niya kag ang proclamation certificate sa next nga session sang Sanggunian Panlungsod, assume na siya as SK Federation officer,” said Lim.
Meanwhile, Lim said elected SK officials who will fail to attend the SK mandatory training would be unable to assume office.
He cited several SK officials from Barangay M.H. del Pilar, Jaro and barangays Salvacion and West Habog-Habog, Molo who haven’t attended the training./PN
