The chance to revel the blast and blessings of 2020 opener. Only here in Iloilo, this year’s Dinagyang Festival will bring again the hues of the province’s wealthy culture and tradition. This religious festivity held on the 4th Sunday of January will once again gather not just Ilonggos but people from across the country, even international guests, as one big joyous community – in devotion to Señor Santo Niño, the child Jesus.

Gearing back to last year’s celebration, witnessed were participating tribes in their spectacular opening salvo performances held at the newly-constructed 4,000-seater Iloilo Freedom Grandstand on Muelle Loney Street.

Dinagyang Festival opening salvo 2020 kicks off today at 3 p.m. Eight competing tribes will hit the roads of Freedom Grandstand to Solis-Iznart Streets, Valeria-Ledesma Streets and Ma. Clara Street. Six barangay tribes will also join, and these tribes will participate in the “Dagyang sa Calle Real,” a revival of the old vibe of Dinagyang streetdance which is open for all.
