ILOILO City – A dispatcher chiding the men who removed a road signage in Barangay Poblacion, Santa Barbara, Iloilo was stabbed.
Richard Gamboa, a 36-year-old resident of Barangay Bolong Oeste, Santa Barbara, died at the Western Visayas Sanitarium on Tuesday morning.
The stabbing happened round 12:30 a.m., according to Chief Inspector Rogelio Ortigas, Santa Barbara police chief.
Gamboa saw seven drunken men removing a road signage and told them to stop.
Three of the men got angry and stabbed Gamboa, said Ortigas.
The men fled after attacking the victim.
“We have names. We only need witnesses so we can file charges against them,” said Ortigas./PN
