KALIBO, Aklan – The Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) is now looking into reports of dog meat which may have been illegally sold at the public market in Makato, Aklan.
Proper cases will be filed should there be individuals found guilty of being involved in the illegal trade of dog meat, said Quimpo.
Meanwhile, a veterinarian urged the public to refrain from eating dog meat as this may cause health issues.
According to Dr. Sherlock Sabandal, eating dog meat may be dangerous as a certain virus may be transferred to humans from the meat.
This comes after a viral video circulated online showing a man supposedly grilling dog meat. The post has already been forwarded to authorities. (With a report from GMA News/PN)
