ILOILO City – In Barangay Simon Ledesma, Jaro district, a man was stabbed.
The 28-year-old resident R-Jay Aclaon sustained a stab wound on the body, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Aclaon and his 34-year-old friend Thaffeous Espinosa were having a drinking session when a heated argument ensued between them.
This prompted Espinosa to stab Aclaon around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, the report added.
Aclaon was brought to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro district for treatment.
Espinosa tried to escape but failed when police officers caught him.
He was detained in the Jaro police station’s custodial facility./PN
