ILOILO City – A heated argument during a drinking session led to the stabbing of a construction worker in Barangay Airport, Mandurriao district.
Resident Rene Boy Hercules sustained a stab wound on the body, police said. He received treatment at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Tagged suspect was the victim’s fellow worker Elso Pavillo, 42, of Negros Oriental.
According to police investigation, Hercules and Pavillo were having a drinking session when a heated argument ensued between them. This prompted Hercules to punch the suspect.
Pavillo retaliated by attacking Hercules using a bladed weapon around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The suspect – detained in the Mandurriao police station – faces charges./PN
