ROXAS City – The driver of a pickup truck that figured in a multiple collision that killed three students has been released from police custody after posting bail.
The multiple-vehicle crash took place on Sunday, Dec. 10, along Arnaldo Boulevard in this city’s Barangay Baybay. Three lads (Joshua Doronio, Justine Villariña and Cedric Baes) died while two others (Joshua Albert Lanado and Joshua Burata) sustained injuries.
The 30-year-old Jerex Diawara – the Mitsubishi Strada driver – an engineer and resident of Katipunan Village, Barangay Lawaan, was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicides, physical injuries, and damage to properties on Monday.
He managed to post the required bail amounting to P60,000 for his temporary release.
Meanwhile, local authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution on the roads and to prioritize the safety of themselves and others./PN
