BACOLOD City – Police arrested the driver of a motorcycle that hit an 84-year-old woman on a national highway in Barangay Oringao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Jerry June Capaducio, 23, of Barangay Camingawan, Kabankalan City was taken to the police station in that city, a police report showed.
Leonila Acol of Barangay Oringao was crossing the road in their village at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday when the motorcycle accidentally hit her, police investigation showed, citing witnesses.
Acol sustained “serious physical injuries.” She was taken to the Dr. Gumersindo Garcia Sr. Memorial Hospital in Kabankalan City for treatment./PN
