ILOILO – Police seized around P748,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a high-value suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo.
The suspect identified as alias “Tatay Fred”, 60, married, driver, is a resident of Barangay Linuan, Badiangan town but temporarily residing in Barangay Balabag, Pavia.
Joint operatives of the Pavia Municipal Police Station’s (MPS) Station Drug Enforcement Team and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit caught the suspect after he handed over one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P7,000 marked money, on October 11.
Also recovered from his possession were seven more plastic sachets of the said illegal substance, buy-bust money, and non-drug-related items.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Pavia MPS. He will be charged for violation of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
