ILOILO City – Joemarie Buenaobra was not as lucky as his suspected accomplice.
A suspected drug dealer, Buenaobra was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Desamparados, Jaro district while a certain “Calvo” escaped.
The 33-year-old Buenaobra was a suspected member of the Prevendido drug group, police said.
He was working at the water refilling station owned by Boni Gregori, nephew of suspected drug lord Richard Prevendido, said the police.
Undercover officers bought from Buenaobra a sachet of suspected shabu for P500. Four more sachets of the same substance were seized from him.
Buenaobra was detained at the Jaro police station after his arrest around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday./PN
