ILOILO City – Three sachets of shabu were confiscated from a drug pushing suspect in Barangay Cagbang, Oton, Iloilo.
The 31-year-old Marlon Gonzaga of Barangay Poblacion South, Oton initially sold a sachet to an undercover police officer on Tuesday around 1:30 p.m.
The sachet cost P300.
After his arrest, two more sachets of shabu were recovered from Gonzaga. Police detained him at the Oton police station.
Gonzaga faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The law classifies shabu a dangerous drug and punishes anyone possessing, selling or manufacturing it.
The police is stepping up its campaign against illegal drugs. President Rodrigo Duterte wants the country cleared of drug traffickers by the end of December 2016./PN
