ILOILO City – A drunken man was taken to the police station for allegedly carrying a homemade firearm in Barangay Juaneza, Sara, Iloilo.
Leurence Benias, 21, was a resident of the town’s Barangay Malapaya.
Village watchmen Ignacio Alarcon and Severino Arabening told the police Benias challenged residents to a fight while brandishing a gun around 11:15 p.m. on May 13.
A 12-gauge shotgun loaded with ammunition was recovered from Benias, a police report showed.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against the suspect./PN
