ILOILO City – Charged with 18 counts of rape, a laborer was collared by policemen in Barangay Poblacion, Sara, Iloilo.
Joseph Paunon, 28, of Barangay Ingore, La Paz district was Iloilo City’s No. 2 most wanted man.
Joint elements of the La Paz and Sara police stations nabbed the suspect around 7 p.m. on May 13.
Police said Paunon was hiding in the house of a relative.
The suspect was caught by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Regina Galang-Guarin of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 30 here.
Paunon was detained in the lockup cell of the La Paz police station.
Guarin recommended a P180,000 bail bond each case for the suspect’s temporary liberty./PN
