MANILA — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) debunked a Facebook post that alleged to give immediate assistance.
According to the DSWD, it has no program that gives immediate financial assistance to people.
Rather, people may avail its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program for assistance related to medical, burial, transportation, educational assistance, among other kinds.
“The DSWD has no program that gives immediate monetary assistance to people. You may be assisted by the DSWD to avail the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation, which gives aid for medical, burial, transportation, educational assistance, and other financial aid,” it said.
The post also used a logo of the agency, which the DSWD said was used without permission.
