ILOILO City – To help consumers in Western Visayas, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Office 6 recently launched an online price monitoring system or the e-presyo.
In an event attended by local media firms and retailers at Hotel del Rio, the DTI unveiled a system wherein consumers can monitor the prices of basic necessities and prime commodities.
“Kung gusto ma-access sang consumer naton nga Iloilo-based [the prices of the products], makadto sila sa applications nga ina sa DTI e-presyo,” said Demar L. Solinap, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist.
The e-presyo can also help consumers compare the prices of products in different grocery stores and supermarkets.
“The system also has a comparative prevailing system wherein you can compare prices from a week ago, a month ago,” Solinap added.
Consumers can download the application thru the App Store for Apple users and Play Store for Android users.
“The application is very easy to use, user-friendly and convenient to consumers. There’s no need for registration and sign up,” Solinap said./PN
