KALIBO, Aklan – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will launch “Balik-Eskwela” discount caravans in selected municipalities in the province.
DTI’s initiative will offer cheaper and quality school supplies and other commodities for students and parents preparing for the opening of classes in June.
The caravans will be conducted in the towns of Altavas on May 14; Nabas, May 16; and Libacao on May 23.
It will be participated by retailers, enterprise owners and exhibitors that will offer school-related items at a low cost.
The program also targets parents in the barangays to help save money for the new school year and to take advantage of the products sold during the “Diskwento Caravan” lower than those in retail outlets. (With a report from Akean Forum/PN)
