CAPIZ – A 28-year-old woman died. She was hacked and shot around 12:45 a.m. yesterday in Sitio Agmanakit, Barangay Dacuton, Dumarao town.
The suspect in Ana Mae Castor’s death is her live-in partner Argie Mondia, 35.
From what the Dumarao municipal police station has so far gathered, Mondia came home drunk, looked for Castor and found her in a hammock.
He asked her where she had been, and she allegedly responded, “Halin sa migo ko eh!”
Police said this angered Mondia.
Castor ran away. The suspect chased her and shot her in the back.
The responding Dumarao Response Team (DERT) brought Castor to the Dao District Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.
Mondia voluntarily surrendered to the barangay hall and was turned over to the Dumarao police station./PN
