ILOILO City – An eatery worker in Molo district was accused of stealing from her boss.
Eatery owner Marjorie Mamon, 42, of Barangay San Pedro, Molo reported to the police that she lost P1,000 and a pink Cherry Mobile XL Plus cellphone.
She believes her staffer, whom she identified only as the 32-year-old “Jemalyn,” took them, a police report showed.
Mamon said she hired Jemalyn of Barangay Simon Ledesma, Jaro on Oct. 11.
According to the eatery owner, she discovered that her money in her bag was missing at around 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 12.
Her P4,000 cellphone, placed in a cash drawer at the eatery, also went missing at around 7 a.m. on Oct. 13, she told the police.
When she learned that her boss was looking for her missing cellphone, Jemalyn left the eatery without asking permission, the police report stated.
Mamon told the police she learned that a neighbor identified only as “Neneng” once saw Jemalyn take something from the eatery drawer but just did not mind.
