BACOLOD City – Several higher education and colleges in Bacolod City can now hold face-to-face (F2F) classes after the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) allows them.
EOC executive director Em Ang disclosed that several schools here conducted F2F classes in secondary and tertiary levels after the EOC gave them the “go signal.”
Aside from F2F classes, the EOC also allowed them to hold the in-person graduation ceremony but they must be all full vaccinated of coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19) vaccines.
The schools which were allowed to hold the F2F classes must be under the supervision also of the EOC.
Doctor Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data analysis and management of the EOC said the schools must follow the guidelines set by the EOC in holding the F2F classes, to proceed with caution.
These are: all students must be fully vaccinated of COVID-19; all teachers and non-teaching personnel are fully vaccinated, and the immediate family members of the students are also fully vaccinated.
Sorongon said they targeted to inoculation of all the minors who have already been registered.
“It’s high time for us to protect our children against COVID-19. Let us consider this as a marching order towards the new normal and prepare them for F2F classes in the future,” he added.
The city extended the alert level status on Alert Level 1 from March 16- 31./PN
