KALIBO, Aklan – A woman with epilepsy was found dead in her house in Barangay Ochando, New Washington, Aklan.
Melita Macahilig was 43 years told. Cousin Rodolfo Macahilig discovered her lifeless on the floor, face down in a basin full of water around 10 a.m. on Saturday,
She was alone in the house doing laundry when she had epileptic seizure, initial police investigation showed, said Police Patrolman John Lee Valencia of the New Washington police station.
Her husband, a trisikad driver, was out working.
This was not the first time Macahilig had epileptic seizure but in past episodes she had companions in the house and they assisted her.
“Months ago she had an episode in the kitchen. Family members immediately brought her to the hospital,” said Valencia.
The family believed there was no foul play in Macahilig’s death./PN
