ILOILO – A 39-year-old former barangay tanod was arrested for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition in Barangay Purok 1, Pavia town around 7:05 a.m. yesterday.
Officers of the Pavia Municipal Police Station (MPS) caught alias “Glapz” through the strength of a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) issued by Judge Rose Edith G. Togonon of the Regional Trial Court’s Branch 25 in Iloilo City.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession were homemade caliber .38 revolver without a serial number and one live ammunition for caliber .38.
The suspect was detained at the Pavia MPS for proper disposition./PN
