“I was arrested not because my gin baldog ako nga customer or i hurt anybody... This is a family matter. My brother filed a case against me because of a property that i enherited from my parents and is rightfully mine,” Jet Salcedo captioned on his post in his facebook account together with the photo above. ILOILO City – Ilonggo fashion designer Jose Clement “Jet”  Salcedo, 36, of Barangay North San Jose, Molo district was arrested around 1:30 p.m. on June 13.

Charged with falsification of public document, his arrest warrant was issued by Judge Raul Facon of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch 4.

According to Salcedo in a phone interview, he did not stay long at the Molo police station. He was able to post bail.

Salcedo said the complaint against him stemmed from a property dispute with his elder brother Shariko.

Ang amon na bala nga family resort sa Concepcion, SBS Beach Resort,” said Salcedo. “That’s an inheritance…co-owners kami tanan mag-ulutod.”

The property, he said, is being subjected to agrarian reform but that “before my mom and dad died bal-an na namon kun diin dira ang amon part.”

Salcedo said he is entertaining a potential buyer.

“To all of my friends and relatives who are concerned, don’t worry, I’m free. I got my order of release,” Salcedo announced in a live Facebook live broadcast.

He was able to post bail (P36,000) for his temporary liberty.

Salcedo designed the “simple and classy” blue gown that Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier wore during the preliminary competition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Metro Manila in January last year.

Pelissier was declared first runner-up.

“It was definitely a challenge. People know that my designs are different. But I’m glad that it turned out to be beautiful,” Salcedo told Panay News./PN
