BACOLOD City – A 32-year-old father was arrested for allegedly raping his daughter for the past three years.
Police declined to name the suspect, although Police Station 8 commander Police Major Joery Puerto said the father was also in the station’s drug watch list as a “street level druggie.”
The daughter, now 15, summoned up the courage to tell her grandmother about the rape that she said started when she was 12.
With the help of the Women and Children’s Protection Desk of Police Station 8, a complaint was filed and an arrest warrant was eventually issued against the father.
According to Puerto, the victim’s mother is working in Metro Manila.
The father did not deny the allegation, the police official added.
“Gin-ako ‘ya man. Hambal ‘ya bayaran ‘ya ang sala ‘ya tanan,” Puerto said./PN
