BACOLOD City – The Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is preparing criminal charges against a 39-year-old man for allegedly sexually abusing his 13-year-old daughter.
Police requested not to identify the daughter as well as the father pending the filing of charges.
Police Lieutenant Arlyn Torrendon, head of BCPO’s WCPD, said the charges would be related to Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The victim told an aunt that the abuse started in 2021 and the most recent was just this April 6.
The aunt alerted the police just this April 9.
The father had not been arrested but Torrendon said they have started gathering evidences.
The police station also contacted the girl’s mother, an overseas Filipino worker.
The girl is currently in the custody of the WCPD./PN
